A couple of years ago there was an amazing exhbition at the Museum of Science and Industry by Gina Czarnecki based upon the traditions of the Tooth Fairy (More information here- http://www.ginaczarnecki.com/projects/2012/4/25/palaces.html ) I was so inspired by her work that I decided to sculpt my own tooth fairy who would live in such a wonderful palace.

My tooth fairy is so old her own teeth have been worn to stumps, so she saved up the teeth from young children for herelf. If they were found to be unsuitable she would use them to build her amazing palace.

She carried a tool belt full of dentistry tool with her in case she didn't have enough change and had to perform an emergency extraction.

Her dress was made of tatters of clothing that she ripped from childrens clothes as she entered their bedrooms at night.

Her design was inspired by the art of Tim Burton, and I thought she would make a great character in one of his stories.
